Bookings are now being taken for the popular summer sailing trips on Terror. This 28' traditional gaff-rigged sailing boat is the last of the Victorian oyster fleet that sailed from Emsworth. Two-hour trips depart from Emsworth, just £10 per person. See the What's On section for departure times.
Mariners are advised that a programme of works is planned to replace and reposition the beacons marking the approach to Chichester Harbour. Over the next few weeks both the Bar Beacon and the West Pole Beacon will be taken down and replaced with new markers in new positions. See the Local Notices to Mariners for more details. Work will proceed slowly as we can only go out with the barge when it is flat calm. To stay informed please sign up for the eNewsletter. Also, follow the story in pictures in our Photo Gallery.
