New Deputy Education Officer

Jane Latawski new Deputy Education Officer

Jane Latawski, Deputy Education OfficerJane, who has worked as a team teacher since the Education service began has now been promoted to Deputy Education Officer. Jane will organise field trips and develop new curriculum related activities for school groups.

Gary James joined us in September as the New Education Officer.

Gary has been in secondary science education for 22 years, the last 12 as a deputy head. Gary and his family have known and loved the harbour area for many years and he is delighted to now be working with the education team. “It’s all about the students and the adults that come with them, enjoying their experience and coming away with a heightened sense of responsibility for and awareness of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.”

Dell Quay Classroom

Work on the classroom was completed in December 2008.  The roof space now houses our smart new office, which can be accessed by external stairs on the end of the buidling.

New Ponds

new pondTwo new small ponds have been constructed near Dell Quay and can be accessed along the wheelchair path.  Hopefully they will be ready for dipping for summer 2009. Look out for a new KS1 programme involving work on the shoreline and a walk with pond dipping, mini-beast hunting and more…
