Environment Agency Survey

A hovercraft will be carrying out a survey on Thursday 27th March on behalf of the Environment Agency, launching from Dell Quay.

The objective of the survey is to collect benthic invertebrate diversity & quantities to aid in the Water Framework Directive classification of the waterbody. The benthic surveys will take approximately 15 core samples (approx 11.3cm diameter and 15ch depth (approx 0.1m3 of sediment)) from Chichester harbour using a small intertidal hovercraft to access the mudflats to take samples at the mid tide level.
