As part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations for Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Chichester Harbour Conservancy is running an exciting new Countryside Crafts and Skills Fair for families.
The event will be held at Tuppenny Barn in Southbourne on Sunday 29th June, in partnership with Chichester College, and with funding support from the Friends of Chichester Harbour.
Families are invited to come along and have a go at a wide variety of countryside crafts and activities, including making a mini-cottage garden, willow stars and bird boxes. Find out more about bee-keeping, green wood working, wild food and hedgerows. There will be something for everyone, with local produce stands, refreshments and plant displays too.
Siún Cranny, Director of Chichester Harbour Conservancy, said “this will be a hands-on day for children and adults alike to find out more about the countryside, while making something special and unique to take home with them.”
The event will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm and costs £5 a head for adults, children free, with all activities included. Advanced booking is essential to secure your place on this one-off event. For more information and to book your place please visit www.conservancy.co.uk or call 01243 513275.
