Barrel Jellyfish seen in the Harbour

We have had several sightings of Barrel Jellyfish in the Harbour over the last few days.  They are the largest species of jellyfish that visit our waters, sometimes gathering in large numbers.  They feed on plankton so their sting is too weak to hurt humans. You can find out more about their lives here

If you spot one and would like to record your sighting, please visit a website that collates all wildlife sightings and shares them with the relevant organisations.
