Welcome to the Conservancy's year round Programme of Walks, Activities and Boat Trips. Please see our monthly listings for full details of what's on.
If you would like a monthly listing sent to you by e-mail please sign up to our eNewsletter service.
The walks and activities give you a chance to learn more about this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in an informal setting. We walk most areas of the harbour and cover a wide range of interests. We are sure you find something suitable.

All guided walks and activities are sponsored by the Chichester Harbour Conservancy and are free of charge unless stated. However, donations are welcome to the Friends of Chichester Harbour, the charity linked to the Conservancy with all monies going towards environmental projects.
This unique Festival gives you the chance to walk four very different, but neighbouring south coast harbours accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. The 2007 Festival is being held 7-10 May. Download the Festival leaflet for full details and a booking form. To receive details of all our walks please register for our e-newsletter service and tick the Walks box.
There is no need to book unless stated. Where booking is required please contact Ali Beckett. If a payment is needed, cheques should be made payable to 'Chichester Harbour Conservancy' and sent with a covering letter to The Harbour Office, Itchenor, Chichester, PO20 7AW.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult, you should consider the suitability of some walks with respect to the time and length involved.
Dogs may come along on all walks other than the bird walks. However, the dog may need to be kept on a lead at all times. On long walks please bring a dish and water for your dog.
Please dress appropriately for each session. Even on dry summer days some paths may be wet and muddy due to the tides. In winter consider all slopes and wooden surfaces very slippery. On hot days bring plenty of water with you. On long walks carry your things in a rucksack, not a shoulder bag.
Some of the activities take place in the Education Centre, this is situated on the Quay, Dell Quay, off the A286 about 2 miles south of Chichester. Parking is on the roadside - please walk down to the quay, disabled badge holders may park on the quay next to the Centre by prior arrangement with the Harbour Office.
Please note that walks and sessions may be cancelled if there are fewer than 4 attendees. For some sessions, due to health and safety reasons, we must apply maximum numbers. Where booking is not available, these sessions are held on a 'first come, first served' basis.
