Chichester Harbour Conservancy - Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Birdwatching

With more than 55,000 either resident or passing through Chichester Harbour each year you are very likely to see some birds on any visit to the Harbour.

See the Birds page for information on the types of birds you are likely to see and when they can be found.

The Enjoying Wildlife page will give you ideas for the best places to visit. If you are new to bird watching then have a look at our Guide to Being a Birdwatcher for some useful tips. Throughout the winter months, the Conservancy organise weekly walks and bird trips where you can watch the birds with a knowledgeable guide. These activities suitable for amateur and experienced birdwatchers.
