Conservation work parties for Friends of Chichester Harbour - opportunities available
Conservation work parties are held for 2 hours mid week for a variety of tasks. To attend a work party you must be a member of the Friends of Chichester Harbour. Work party volunteers receive a schedule of tasks three times a year. Find out more.
Harbour Watch (sorry - no opportunities currently available)
A regular volunteering scheme to collect litter and monitor the condition of footpaths and sea defences. Find out more.
Wetland Birds Survey (WeBS) (sorry - no opportunities currently available)
The British Trust for Ornithology's Wetland Bird Survey monitors migratory birds in Chichester Harbour. Monthly surveys are coordinated by us and carried out by a group of dedicated surveyors. Find out more.
Solent Bird Studies project (volunteers needed for winter 2016/17)
This project was launched by the East Solent Coastal Partnership and will study the importance of the network of high tide roost sites and inland feeding areas within the Solent for the conservation of the overwintering bird populations.
Volunteers are urgently needed to record and submit sightings of wildfowl and wading birds from around the Solent via the project website or using the smart phone app available from the app store or google play store.
