Welcome to the Conservancy's year round Programme of Walks, Activities and Boat Trips. This can be viewed in our monthly calendar. If you would like a monthly listing sent to you by e-mail please sign up to our eNewsletter service.
The walks and activities give you a chance to learn more about this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in an informal setting. We walk most areas of the harbour and cover a wide range of interests. We are sure you will find something suitable.
Costs
A small fee is charged for most events which will be collected on the day. For events that need to be booked in advance the fee will be collected when the booking is made. All fees under £10 are non-refundable. Refunds where the fee is £10 or more can only be made if we are able to fill your place. On all free events donations are welcome to the Friends of Chichester Harbour.
Festival of Harbour Walks
Join us for our annual celebration of walking the paths of Chichester Harbour, a varied terrain of shoreline, countryside and communities. The Festival takes place 10-12 June 2013.
Download full details and a booking form. Booking closes Monday 3 June.
Booking
There is no need to book unless stated. Where booking is required please telephone 01243 513275. If a payment is needed, cheques should be made payable to 'Chichester Harbour Conservancy' and sent with a covering letter to The Harbour Office, Itchenor, Chichester, PO20 7AW or you can pay be debit or credit card by telephone 01243 513275.
Children
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult, you should consider the suitability of some walks with respect to the time and length involved.
Dogs
Dogs may come along on all walks other than the bird walks. However, the dog may need to be kept on a lead at all times. On long walks please bring a dish and water for your dog.
Dress
Please dress appropriately for each session. Even on dry summer days some paths may be wet and muddy due to the tides. In winter consider all slopes and wooden surfaces very slippery. On hot days bring plenty of water with you. On long walks carry your things in a rucksack, not a shoulder bag.
Minimum and Maximum Numbers
Please note that events may be shortened or cancelled if there are fewer than four attendees. For some sessions, due to health and safety reasons, we have to apply maximum numbers and for these booking is essential.
Locations
Details of where to meet are given alongside each activity in the What's on calendar. If you need more information please phone us on 01243 513275. Please note some of the locations we meet are quite remote and the postcode may only get you to the general area. Please read the event text carefully for exact directions.
