Earlier this year our photo competition offered amateur photographers the opportunity to win pride of place on the cover of Harbour News and a workshop session with a professional photographer.

Our categories were:

Wildlife – Fish, feathers and four legs (or flippers!)

Habitat – Our beautiful landscape and living spaces, both people and creatures, on the water and on land.

Economy – Boatyards, farming, fishing, marine services, accommodation, sports & recreation businesses

Recreation – Enjoying the Harbour

We were overwhelmed with your entries and are now sorting through the shortlisted photos. The best pictures will be used as part of our future marketing activity and the overall winner will see their photograph pride of place on the front cover of the 2019 edition of Harbour News, published in February 2019. The top entrant in each category will win a place at a photography masterclass run by a professional photographer. Details of the winners will be shared as soon as judging is complete so please do bookmark this page to keep updated!

The full terms and conditions can be downloaded here but here are the key points:

Competition runs from 09.00 until 23.59 on 30th September 2018

By entering, you agree to Chichester Harbour Conservancy using your image for marketing purposes

The competition is open to photographers of all levels and will be judged by Richard Craven, Harbour Master on Monday 8th October 2018. As well as a winner in each category, an overall winner will be selected, and their picture will take pride of place on the front cover of all 30,000 printed copies of the 2019 Harbour News publication.
