Getting Here

Most visitors to Chichester Harbour travel by car and there are a number of pay and display and free car parks at various points around the Harbour. The car park at Itchenor is operated by CHC, public car parks on the Hampshire side of the Harbour are operated by Havant Borough Council and on the West Sussex side by Chichester District Council.

There are also good rail or bus links, especially in the north of the Harbour, and getting here by foot or bike is possible too.

Itchenor Car Park

The Itchenor Car Park is now controlled by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). Contactless and card payments can be made at the payment machine in the car park. Alternatively payments can be made online by scanning the QR code in the car park. If you have been unable to pay when parking, payments can be made up to 48 hours later by clicking on the link below:

Mobile phone reception can be unreliable in the car park but you can usually get a signal as you walk down the road towards the water.

You can also pay by cash in person at the Harbour Office.

  • The tariffs apply to all vehicles.
  • If you are parking a trailer you will need to come to the Harbour Office to pay and display a ticket on the trailer.
  • Charges apply every day, 24 hours a day.
  • Please be aware that the roads and the car park can be very busy in summer peak times.
