We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to assist with the planning and delivery of our innovative education programme.
Working with the education manager, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a busy programme providing real-world learning experiences for children – from primary to university students. Outreach sessions also provide talks and workshops in schools and for community groups.
Our education centre and teaching team are a key part of our organisation, and we are looking for someone self-motivated, ideally with knowledge of Chichester Harbour and an interest in conservation and nature.
Responsibilities will include teaching visiting school and community groups in a variety of sites and settings, preparing interpretative and educational teaching materials, planning field trips and visitor itineraries, and dealing with school queries and bookings.
Hours will mainly be weekdays with some occasional evenings and weekends, supporting events and trips.
Candidates with a teaching qualification preferred but relevant outdoor education experience and expertise would also be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our team and be part of an organisation looking after one of the largest recreational harbours in the UK and an important National Landscape. The role is based at CHC Education Centre, Dell Quay, West Sussex.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday 9th January 2024.
Interviews will be held w/c 15th January 2024.
Please apply using the Chichester Harbour Conservancy Application Form.
