Chichester Harbour Conservancy is the lead partner for CHaPRoN (Chichester Harbour Protection and Recovery of Nature): a partnership initiative to protect and restore the Harbour’s natural environment. CHaPRoN is one of ten partners in the Solent Seascape Project: a five-year, multi-million-pound conservation project to reconnect the Solent into a functioning seascape by improving the condition, extent, and connectivity of key marine and coastal habitats. The project is funded by the Endangered Landscape Programme, managed by the Cambridge Conservation Initiative in partnership with Arcadia, a charitable fund of Lisbet Rausing and Peter Baldwin.

The post holder will report directly to the Communications Manager at Chichester Harbour Conservancy, and work with both the CHaPRoN partnership and the Solent Seascape Partnership to deliver communication and engagement activities that fulfil the aims of both partnership initiatives.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Conservancy at an exciting time when the natural environment is high on the national agenda and to become part of a pioneering seascape scale restoration project. You’ll be working with a multi-disciplined partnership addressing some of the key challenges facing not only Chichester Harbour, but the wider UK marine environment.
