Work Experience Placements For Under 18s

Chichester Harbour Conservancy offers exciting work experience placements each year for two students aged 14–18 who are curious about careers in the outdoors, conservation and harbour management.

Our five day placements give you a real taste of working in nature conservation, harbour management and environmental education. You’ll shadow our expert team, head out on site visits, help with education activities, and even spend time on the water—all while discovering the wide range of careers that help protect this special place.

When to apply
Applications open in the autumn for placements taking place the following year. Because places are extremely popular, two applications will be chosen at random in mid-December. Successful applicants will be contacted to confirm dates. All unsuccessful applicants will be notified.
